HUB-WIDE — The Boston Globe has launched its annual "Munch Madness" tournament, pitting 64 area restaurants against each other in a bracketed series of match-ups. User voting determines the winner of each round and eventually the whole contest. The first round is now open for voting, and the match-ups are pretty logical pairings of restaurants in the same vein, unlike in previous years. Siblings are also paired up in this first round, so only one can move on between jm Curley and Merrill & Co., for example, or Oleana and Sarma[BG]

HUB-WIDE — Planning a touristy day along the Freedom Trail? Zagat rounds up ten of the best dishes to eat along the historic route, from a full prix fixe dinner at No. 9 Park to Boston cream pie (the original) at Parker's Restaurant in the Omni Parker House. [Zagat]

IN THE SUBURBS — Don't forget to nominate your favorite suburban burgers. They'll potentially get featured in an upcoming Burger Week map. [EBOS Forum]
