The Brighton Beer Garden liquor license could be transferred to a venue called Tavitas at One South Station, located in the downtown station's Suite 132, according to the agenda for a licensing hearing taking place this Wednesday. Brighton Beer Garden closed in January.

The listing for Tavitas mentions a bar/dining area of 47 seats, plus an outdoor dining concourse area with seating for 21. The listed manager is Giuseppe Arcari, co-owner of the now-defunct Joshua Tree in Allston and the registered agent for Tavern in the Square's LLC. Both Arcari and "Tavern in the Square Management Company LLC" appear on Tavitas' business entity summary that is filed with the state.

A miniature Tavern in the Square, seating about 40, opened up right in the middle of South Station just over a year ago. Will Tavitas replace this or offer something new? Where exactly is Suite 132? Will Tavern in the Square buy up enough of the station to eventually earn a giant, glowing archway like the new CVS on the second floor? Hit up the tipline with any intel.
