You Could Be Eating at Pepe's Pizza in Chestnut Hill This Fall

It's really happening.

Last month, the possibility of New Haven classic Frank Pepe Pizzeria expanding to Boston once again became a real possibility, with rumors of a lease close to being signed for the old Papa Razzi space at The Mall at Chestnut Hill.

Today, Boston Restaurant Talk reported via a source that it will indeed be at that location, and it could open in August.

Good news: it's really happening, confirms a representative of the growing pizza chain, which now has seven locations in Connecticut and one in Yonkers, New York. August is a bit ambitious, though; he says that it's hard to pin down an opening date at this point, but fall is a safe bet. Prepare for pizza glory.

UPDATE, 3/13/15: A press release sent today adds a few more details — the restaurant will seat 85 (it's 3,200 square feet), and of course it'll have a coal-fired brick oven.
