When Rami's, a popular kosher restaurant in Brookline, initially announced plans to expand into the adjacent Harvard Street space, it appeared that the new venture would be named The Place Next Door, specializing in kosher vegetarian fare.
As it turns out, it'll be juice-focused, referred to as Pure Cold Press Juice and Salad Bar in the minutes for a Brookline Planning Board hearing and simply Cold Press in a Craigslist job posting. It will feature "a full food menu along with the best & pure Cold Press juices in town," according to the posting. The Planning Board supported owner Haim Cohen's request to boost seating from the originally approved 20 up to 47.
The Boston area is seeing a vast increase in juice bars this year, from single locally-owned shops to large NYC-based chains.
