Boston Restaurant Talk noticed today that Shanti, an Indian restaurant with locations in Savin Hill and Roslindale, is aiming to open a third branch in Kendall Square.

Shanti owner Solmon Chowdhury, who already has Cambridge ties as owner of Moksa in Central Square, is seeking a license to serve wine and malt beverages at 250 Kendall Street. There's a hearing about it next Tuesday, March 17. The Licensing Commission agenda indicates the proposed eatery will have seating for 50, plus an outdoor patio, and could be open daily from 11 a.m. - 11 p.m.
