After closing temporarily in November for reasons related to chef/owner Beth Troisi's health, The Goods JP has shuttered permanently. A commenter on Boston Restaurant Talk says the windows at 378 Centre St. are papered over and include an announcement that an empanada/sandwich shop will open in the space. A Facebook comment from a fan of the shop reiterates this.
The Goods JP opened in Hyde Square in 2013, and in addition to sandwiches made with imported Italian meats and others roasted in-house, the shop served pizza, wings, and other comfort food. Troisi also offered a special Italian relish, a recipe passed down from her grandmother.
