A new Back Bay spot offers Mediterranean cuisine in what a recent press release describes as a "whimsical" and "stylish" setting. Because tzatziki sauce dripping down your chin is more acceptable in low lighting against an earth tone backdrop.
Cafe Med, located in the Park Square building at 31 St. James Ave., now has a full menu, reports BostInno. Restaurateurs Manos Linoxilakis and Christophe Muller serve entrees with Greek side dishes like falafel, hummus, and baba ganoush, and roll-ups and souvlaki are also available. The Cafe Med logo accompanying the press release suggests a coffee menu, too. As far as word from folks who’ve tried it, just one Yelper immortalizes a dissatisfying salad experience.
With as much in the press release about the place's contemporary interior design (chandeliers decorated with recycled ladles, anyone?) as about the menu offerings, and with no official web presence, the word is still out on Cafe Med.
Try it for yourself Monday - Saturday from 7 a.m. - 6 p.m.
