When One Chocolate Door Closes, Another Opens

The Faneuil Hall Godiva shop has closed, but Ghirardelli opened recently.

Looks like the pre-Valentine's Day rush on chocolate wasn't enough to save the Faneuil Hall location of Godiva, which apparently closed late last month, according to BostInno. There are nearly 200 Godiva shops around the United States and Canada, many in shopping malls. The remaining Boston proper location is at 800 Boylston Street in Back Bay. But not to fear — you can stock up on your Godiva teddy bears, absurdly expensive gift baskets, and a variety of chocolate desserts online anyway.

Or, if you have no brand loyalty or want to eat a hot fudge sundae while buying chocolates, there's always the giant new Ghirardelli shop, also located at Faneuil Hall.
