Ronan's Deli opened last month in Brighton's Oak Square (243 Faneuil Street), fulfilling several different needs: "We are a butcher shop, deli & convenience store specializing in Irish and Brazilian food," says the website. The menu includes "Irish-style" and "American-style" breakfasts served all day, sandwiches, and a hot bar with rotating specials.
The store's namesake, Ronan Farias, was born in Brazil and came to the United States at 20 years old. He's an alum of Papa Razzi, Athan's Bakery, and more, including the previous occupant of the deli's space, The Butcher's Block. "With Ronan's Deli, I am bringing all my experiences together to create a place for everyone to enjoy the same passion I have — food," he writes on the website.
Ronan's Deli is open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday. The early Yelp consensus is highly positive, especially praising the "very friendly" and "extremely warm" service.
