HUB-WIDE — Raise a pint of Guinness tonight in support of the Leary Firefighters Foundation, which provides resources to community fire departments. To participate, order a Guinness, pose with that Guinness, then post your pint selfie to the beer company's Facebook page, or tag them in a tweet. Guinness will donate $1 per post, up to $100,000. You can join the cause from wherever you end up tonight, though several bars in the area are actively participating, including Solas, MJ O'Connor's Waterfront, the Green Briar Pub, and Emmet's Pub & Restaurant. SOUTH END — More than 40 restaurants from one of Boston's hottest culinary neighborhoods will all be in one place this Tuesday, March 3 for Taste of the South End. The party happens at BCA Cyclorama at 539 Tremont St. and goes from 6 - 9:30 p.m. The event benefits the AIDS Action Committee, the state’s leading provider of prevention and wellness services for people vulnerable to HIV infection. Chefs from Estelle's, Gaslight Brasserie, Myers + Chang, and more will create bite-sized portions of some of their best offerings, and there will also be wine and beer.
