The forthcoming seafood-centric SELECT Oyster Bar is aiming for a mid-March opening, a new job posting reveals. Michael Serpa (Neptune Oyster, Olives) is looking to round out the front-of-house and kitchen staff at his new Back Bay restaurant.
As previously reported, SELECT will focus on seafood and have a expertly-curated raw bar; the new listing refines this to New England seafood with "unique takes on local fish" from chef de cuisine Sebastian Martinez (Koy, Volle Nolle) and Serpa. Martinez' Instagram account provided lots of sneak peeks of Koy before that restaurant opened, so keep an eye on his feed for potential SELECT hints. The team is planning on a creative wine program, featuring seafood-friendly wines, and there will also be artisan spirits on the bar.
