SPRING HILL — The next chance to try Somerville's new Better Bagels is coming up this Sunday, February 22 at Cuisine en Locale on Highland Avenue. The pop-up bagel makers have been making plain, everything, poppy seed, and sesame bagels for the past few months and also offer a spread of spreads. Visit Cuisine en Locale to try one for yourself between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. The host will have a full bar, plus coffee, to complement the food. SOMERVILLE — Try not to fill up on bagels, because later on Sunday, February 22, you can head over to Kirkland Tap & Trotter for a late-night pop-up, JP Beer Garden. The booze-soaked feast is curated by a husband-and-wife duo who worked with chef Tony Maws at the original Craigie Street Bistrot. With a team of fellow Maws proteges, they take over KT&T from 9 p.m. to midnight with "a complimentary welcome sip of warm, buttered booze," local, curated beer flights, and a shareable menu. No reservations or tickets necessary for this Maws reunion; guests are served as they come, and items may be purchased a la carte. [EaterWire]
