Petit Robert Central Becomes Central Bistro

A partial ownership change seems likely at this downtown spot.

After the announcement that the Kenmore Square location of French bistro Petit Robert will transform into a new spot called Josephine next month, Boston Restaurant Talk reported the downtown branch of Petit Robert has also changed recently. Now called Central Bistro, the restaurant at 101 Arch St. has a menu similar to what it served as Petit Robert.

Twitter post indicates Central Bistro underwent its identity shift in early January, when it launched a new website. The site's staff page no longer identifies Petit Robert boss Jacky Robert as involved in Central Bistro, which suggests at least a partial ownership change. Robert's website still shows the downtown location of his namesake bistro, which suggests he hasn't updated his website in a while.
