The Bistro opened in the late 1980s and had undergone a few ownership changes over the years.

Bluestone Bistro, a busy pizzeria and sandwich shop located just outside of Cleveland Circle in Brighton, is now closed, according to a post on its Facebook page.

"We are sad to inform our patrons and supporters that Bluestone Bistro is now closed. To our many regular customers, we are very grateful for the support you gave us in our desire to have a warm, neighborhood restaurant owned and operated by a family here in Brighton. We will always remember your kindness.

Over the past three years we have been very fortunate to work with many exceptionally talented people. We wanted to thank the wonderful people we got to know who worked with us both behind the scenes in the kitchen and in the front of the house serving you. Owning a restaurant is a 24-hour a day experience, and we couldn't have picked a nicer group of people to spend our time with.

We are thankful to all of you and we wish all of you our very best wishes.

Sincerely Onat & Mariya"

While the most recent owners had been there for only the last few years, Bluestone opened back in the late 1980s.

According to Boston Restaurant Talk, a new restaurant called Chili Thai Bistro will open in its place.
