'Business Dispute' Temporarily Shutters UBurger on Tremont Street

Or is it renovations?

The Tremont Street location of UBurger closed its doors on February 13 because of a business dispute, Boston Restaurant Talk reports. The local burger chain announced the closure on Facebook and Twitter but has yet to follow up with a timeline for reopening.

According to a Chowhound poster, the storefront at 140 Tremont Street is papered, and a note in the window says UBurger is closed temporarily for renovations. Perhaps the franchise is taking advantage of the sudden closure to do some sprucing up?

Do you know what's going on at the downtown UBurger? Drop us a line.

UBurger also has locations at BU West, Kenmore Square, and Northeastern, and the company's website indicates that a new outpost will open in Andover Center "soon."
