As its name implies, Finale is known for its desserts and is one of Boston's most upscale restaurants in that department, but its final remaining location in Boston's Park Plaza is closing, according to Boston Restaurant Talk.
The report is based on a tweet that says co-founder Paul Conforti confirmed the closure, while a review on Yelp suggests Finale will close for just a week. A phone call to Finale (1 Columbus Ave.) on Thursday went unanswered. Eater has reached out for more details.
Finale first opened in 1998 under the auspices of chef Jessica Haight and previously had locations in Harvard Square, Coolidge Corner, and Natick. In addition to its dine-in dessert options like cakes, pastries, cookies, and more, Finale also offered take-out bakery treats.
Update: Finale officially closed on Sunday, according to the Boston Business Journal. The lease is reportedly expiring this year, and the owners made the decision to shut down.
