Ocean Prime, a high-end seafood and steak restaurant, officially opens today in Boston's Seaport (140 Seaport Blvd.) The restaurant is the newest addition to the national chain, which has 12 locations across the country.

Mitchell Brumels, who spent three years working at other Ocean Prime locations in Atlanta, Philadelphia, and Denver, now serves as executive chef of the Boston restaurant. Ocean Prime was created by Cameron Mitchell, who started with Mitchell's Ocean Club in Columbus, Ohio and spread the concept from there.

Ocean Prime specializes in a variety of seafood dishes, meats, and cocktails, and it also offers a gluten-free menu.

Customers who visited during the restaurant's soft opening made note of the cocktails and the sea bass and ribeye entrees, with one saying the ribeye was "one of the best steaks I've had in Boston." Another Yelper said that the restaurant was "very standard" and the staff was attentive.

Ocean Prime will be open Monday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m., Saturday from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m., and Sunday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. It also has a lounge, which opens at 4 p.m. each day.
