A coffee shop that has been closed for more than a year is gearing up to finally complete its relocation to Hyde Park from East Boston. Salamander's Coffee Place has applied for a victualler's license for 1231 River St., the former Cordon Bleu Haitian restaurant, according to a licensing board page for the City of Boston.

The proprietor of Salamander's, Maria Mercedes Pica, first posted about the move in May 2014, and the shop's Facebook page announced the River Street location in July, but construction and permitting apparently delayed progress towards an official opening.

Updates on Salamander's progress stopped in February 2015, and the licensing board page is the latest sign that the shop could reopen soon.

Eater has reached out to Salamander's for more information.
