Town Market Opens in Andover

Take food home or eat in at this community market.

A much-anticipated space has opened its doors in Andover, with baked goods and prepared foods on hand for customers. Town Market is a neighborhood-focused market and cafe specializing in artisan products, local goods, dine-in, and take-out foods.

The community market and cafe at 429 South Main St. was 12 years in the making, according to the Andover Townsman. Its founders wanted to establish a community space where people could stop in for a meal, grab some grocery items, or gather and enjoy each others' company. It officially opened on December 24.

Town Market's cafe serves breakfast and lunch sandwiches, salads, whole grain bowls, and pizzas, in addition to a range of desserts, from ice cream to pies and cakes, and more. It also serves, coffee and tea, according to its website, and offers take-home meals and catering.

Rob McCarron, a Culinary Institute of America graduate who previously worked at L'Espalier and Precinct Kitchen and Bar, will serve as the director of retail for Town Market, as previously reported, with Lee Napoli leading Town Market's pastry program and Mark Pocaro as executive chef, bringing with him 20 years of industry experience.

The market part of Town Market sells local products, including cheeses, meats, wine, and beer.

Town Market is open weekdays from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m and weekends from 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.
