Months after a fire ripped through the ventilation system of a building in Kendall Square, a coffee shop is making progress on its construction to repair the smoke and water damage. Beantowne Coffee House posted an update on its Facebook page about meeting with architects for the space.
The owners have been spending the downtime in test kitchens, trying out potential new menu items. The shop has also been operating a catering service called One Kendall Catering. Before the fire, Beantowne served a wide selection of sandwiches, salads, soups, breakfast, and beverages.
There is a second Beantowne location in Hampstead, New Hampshire.
