A taste of France is coming to Brookline tonight when La Voile opens its second location in Washington Square, according to Boston Magazine. The original brasserie has delivered fine French cuisine to Newbury Street patrons for eight years.
An American sailor named Pierre Honegger brought the concept of La Voile — French for "the sail" — to the U.S. from Cannes, as previously reported.
François Grayon, who relocated to the U.S. from France, will serve as the chef at Brookline's La Voile alongside maître d' Jérôme Bergere.
The Washington Square restaurant can seat 95 people on two floors, and the second floor is usable as a private function space.
This weekend, La Voile will reportedly serve a limited dinner menu, with full service — lunch and a nightly prix fixe dinner menu — starting on Monday. The menu for this weekend will be served starting at 5 p.m. Guests can try three courses for $40 or two courses for $29.
