Faneuil Hall's Ames Plow Tavern Will Close

The downtown Boston pub will ride out the year before shutting down.

A fixture of Boston's Faneuil Hall will say goodbye after almost 40 years in business. Ames Plow Tavern (294 Faneuil Hall Marketplace) will shut down for good at the end of the year, according to Boston Restaurant Talk.

The pub first opened in the Downtown Boston marketplace in 1976 and has been a fixture among visitors and locals. The owners posted a notice about the closure on the tavern's Facebook page.
