Watertown's Red Lentil now has a little sibling: Chef and owner Pankaj Pradhan has opened Wild Rice Vegan Cafe, a breakfast and lunch multi-fusion restaurant.
While working on renovations at Red Lentil, Pradhan announced the Wild Rice project, which took over the former Grappa space at 71 Elm St. The menu is completely vegan, and breakfast options include oat bowls, crepes suzette, a breakfast sandwich, and Uppma, a south Indian-inspired dish cooked with stone grits and cauliflower and served with apricot tomato chutney.
For lunch, Wild Rice offers soup, salad, a garbanzo bean burger, Tex-Mex enchiladas, and more. Gluten-free items are also available for both breakfast and lunch.
Wild Rice Vegan Cafe is open seven days a week, serving breakfast from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m. and lunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
