A Vermont export is on the brink of opening in Newton Upper Falls, according to a post on Craigslist, which indicates that The Bagel Place is now hiring for all staff positions.
The family-owned company started in Burlington, Vermont, serving homemade bagels and cream cheese, plus soups, salads, sandwiches, and coffee, as previously reported. Its new location (300 Needham St.) is under construction and hiring for an assistant manager, supervisors, counter staff, morning prep staff, and a baker.
Owner Nate Malley, along with his father-in-law and brother-in-law, started making their own steamed bagels at The Bagel Place in 2012.
According to a post on Facebook, the Newton shop will be ready in a few weeks. The Bagel Place's hours will be 6 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The kitchen and the front counter are all framed. Just a couple more weeks and we will have a finished Bagel Place.
