Puritan & Co. (1166 Cambridge St.) has a new head pastry chef, the restaurant announced today: Marissa Rossi, a graduate of Johnson and Wales who has years of local experience, most recently as the executive pastry chef of Forge Baking Company.
Rossi previously worked at Blue Ginger in Wellesley and Forum in Back Bay, and she also served as assistant pastry chef under Benjamin Metais at Wequassett Resort and Golf Club in South Yarmouth from 2011 to 2014.
She started at Puritan & Co. in October and has introduced new pastries to the restaurant's menu, including monkey bread, a chocolate pretzel croissant, a rotating doughnut, and a fruit bread that changes weekly.
