A local chain of pizza places has shut down its Watertown location and will move to a new spot, according to Boston Restaurant Talk. Upper Crust Pizzeria, which has locations around the greater Boston area, has opened a space in Virginia and plans to expand to Beverly Hills, California and Washington, DC.
The restaurant's website noted the November 22 closure of the Watertown restaurant, saying: "Thank you Watertown residents for your years of patronage," and inviting guests to visit their new location (slated to open this fall) at 1782 Massachusetts Ave. in Porter Square, which was a previous Stone Hearth Pizza space.
Upper Crust Pizzeria serves a variety of pies, salads, and calzones, plus lasagna and gluten-free crust options.
