A Spanish restaurant in the South End has closed and will be absorbed into another restaurant, according to BosGuy. Las Ventas shut its doors on November 1 and will be renovated as a private space for its sibling and neighbor, Estragon Tapas Bar, as the restaurant indicated on its website.

Las Ventas opened in 2008 and was known for its deli, Spanish-style sandwiches, and empanadas. A recent post on Yelp included a photo of a note in the window that read, in part, "We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you that have been faithfully coming to our modest operation and supported us all these years."

After renovations, the Las Ventas space will be used for private dining, events, and additional seating for Estragon.
