Island Creek Oysters is getting in the holiday spirit with a pop-up shop in Back Bay. The store at 142 Newbury St. opens Friday and is part of a larger pop-up series from Jamestown called the Newbury Block Party.
Other shops including Janji, New England Outerwear, and Parlor Skis join Island Creek in this project, which will run for a month during the holiday season.
Island Creek's 1,200-square-foot shop will sell oysters and Duxbury-grown shellfish, plus restaurant gift cards and assorted oyster accoutrements. The shop will also offer cookbooks and some products like Mast Brothers Chocolate and Empire Mayo. Visitors can stop by to place orders for oyster deliveries as well.
The Newbury Street shop will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. each day through the new year.
