A North End Irish pub that closed in October 2014 is finally getting a replacement. Peet's Coffee & Tea is opening a store at 50 Salem St., according to Boston Restaurant Talk. The chain is hiring employees for the new location, and a Craigslist post indicates the store will open soon.

Peet's is replacing Goody Glover's, which operated for 11 years and closed in October 2014. There were reports that the pub would reopen in a different location sometime in 2015, but there are no updates on this development and the restaurant's website is now defunct. Goody Glover's was owned by Dan McMyler, who operates Tasca, a tapas restaurant in Brighton.

Peet's has locations throughout the metro area and serves coffee, tea, pastries, and other cafe-style food items.
