A seafood and steak restaurant with its roots in Ohio and locations across the country is coming soon to Boston's Seaport District. Ocean Prime (140 Seaport Blvd.) is training employees for the new location, which will open on December 3, according to its Facebook page.
Ocean Prime is the work of restaurateur Cameron Mitchell, who operates 13 different brands. Ocean Prime has a dozen locations (the flagship in Columbus, Ohio goes by a different name.)
Mitchell Brumels will serve as executive chef of Ocean Prime in Boston after three years working at other locations in Atlanta, Philadelphia, and Denver.
The restaurant features steaks and seafood entrees — including a Chilean sea bass with whipped potatoes and champagne truffle sauce — plus various appetizers, soups and salads, sushi rolls, and raw bar items. Ocean Prime also offers gluten-free lunch and dinner menus.
Ocean Prime will be open Monday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m., Saturday from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m., and Sunday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. It also has a lounge, which opens at 4 p.m. each day.
