A swanky Indian restaurant in Harvard Square that closed after a fire in June 2014 has finally reopened, according to its website.
The restaurant, located on the second level of the Galeria building overlooking Winthrop Square Park, faced challenges during the rebuilding process, posting in January that it was "hard to project a confirmed reopening date due to unforeseen issues related to construction and permits."
Raj Punjabi, a partner at The Maharaja, previously suggested that not much would change in the appearance of the restaurant.
The Maharaja is open from 11:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 12:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 12:00 p.m to 10:00 p.m. on Sunday.
