A new restaurant opened at the intersection of Belmont, Watertown, and Waltham, Boston Restaurant Talk reported. Phinix Grill: Mediterranean Fusion and Concept Kitchen (628 Trapelo Rd.) opened on November 2, according to its Facebook page, where it has shared a finalized menu and some early Yelp reviews.
The Mediterranean-style fusion restaurant, which took over the space previously occupied by Sweet Peach Diner and Andros Diner, is the work of Sam Pogosov, a Yale MBA, and David Aleksanyan, of Flame Cafe in Boston. The pair teamed up to create a menu that offers a range of classic items like like falafel and shawarma, salads, hummus, and sauces, plus some "cool tad-exotic dishes only Phinix makes."
Pogosov and Aleksanyan wanted to make good, healthy food at a good price, served in a casual setting where people could eat on a daily basis, as Pogosov told Boston News Network.
Phinix Grill is open for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and brunch. The restaurant also offers catering services.
