A favorite Belgian snack will be available to warm ice skaters this winter in Cambridge: Vermont's Waffle Cabin is opening a seasonal location at the Kendall Square Skating Rink, according to Boston Restaurant Talk.
Waffle Cabin originally started as a pushcart in Quincy Market in 1998 and eventually moved on to establish locations at ski resorts across the northeast, Colorado, and West Virginia, according to its website. Now, it is taking its slope-side, Belgian-style waffles rink-side, where it will serve up warm treats seven days a week starting in December.
The Kendall Square Skating Rink, located at 300 Athenaeum St., is open every day, weather permitting, from mid-December until mid-March, according to its website.
