Gerard's Restaurant is selling off its property to local investors, according to the Dorchester Reporter. Gerard Adomunes, the man who has operated the restaurant and the Adams Corner General Store since 1977, will complete the sale of 772 Adams St. by the end of the month.

Three local investors are buying the property, and the license for Gerard's Restaurant could be transferred to Aloft Lounge, a space planned for the first floor of a hotel at 401 D Street, as indicated on a City of Boston Licensing Board page. This will likely be part of the Aloft Seaport Boston Hotel, according to Boston Restaurant Talk.

Christopher Roche, Russ DeMariano, and Ed Brooks are the three men who plan to purchase the building. The city's licensing board page indicates that K O'Brien's Kitchen and Tavern has applied for a new common victualler license for the Gerard's space at 722 Adams St. The restaurant would have bar and dining areas within the 1,570-square-foot area and a possible 2 a.m. closing time.
