M&J Teriyaki Could Open in Fenway's Trattoria Toscana Space

Trattoria Toscana closed for renovations earlier this year, but now it looks as though the restaurant may be closed for good. According to Boston Restaurant Talk, a business going by a different name has applied for a common victualler license to operate in the Trattoria space.

Jiandong Li of May's Teriyaki, Inc. applied to operate M & J Teriyaki from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. at 130 Jersey St. in the Fenway neighborhood. Li filed for incorporation in October. If approved, the restaurant will have seating in the front and a kitchen in the back, plus a basement bathroom.

A hearing on the matter will be conducted on November 18 at 10 a.m.
