Oyá Cuban Café in Malden has closed, according to Boston Restaurant Talk. A Chowhound user posted about the news, and the restaurant's Facebook page confirmed, stating it would be "closed for relocation," but giving no indication where or when it would reopen.
Chef and owner Roberto Niubo, who was born and raised in Cuba, had operated the cafe for two years, serving Cuban classics like ropa vieja and chicharrones y vieiras, in addition to soups, salads, and other entrees.
