Sonny's Pub and Restaurant in Dorchester is looking to transfer its license to a new spot, according to Boston Restaurant Talk. The sports bar in Adams Village (750 Adams St.) offers Irish pub-style food and has been around for almost 50 years.
In early September, Richie Elia, whose son Matthew owns Sonny's (named for Richie's father), debunked recent rumors that Sonny's had been sold (although he noted at the time that "the door is open to prospective buyers"). It now looks as though the bar's license may transfer to a place called Industry, located in the same space, with Martin Davis serving as manager.
Sonny's is open from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. and serves Irish breakfast options in addition to classic pub fare like sliders, wings, and pizza.
