Medford can get ready for some smashed burgers: a Colorado-based chain is now hiring employees, according to Boston Restaurant Talk. Smashburger is aiming for an early December opening at 495 Riverside Ave. in Medford, per a job posting on Craigslist.
The restaurant is known for serving specially prepared burgers: pressed Angus beef meatballs that are made to order. Also on the menu are veggie burgers, chicken sandwiches, and salads, plus the chain's signature garlic-rosemary "Smashfries," haystack onions, and fried pickles.
The Medford location has been in the works for more than a year, as previously reported, and it will be the chain's third location in Massachusetts, with one in Westwood and another in Natick's Sherwood Plaza.
