Sandrine's Bistro closed in March after 18 years in Harvard Square, and Boston Restaurant Talk reports that Classic Restaurant Concepts (The Asgard, Kinsale) now has a timeline for opening its replacement, En Boca.
The small plates-style restaurant is hiring sous and junior sous chefs, according to a job posting on BostonChefs.com, which also indicates the restaurant will open in January 2016.
En Boca's "handcrafted cuisine is based on artisan products inspired by the seasons rooted in the flavors and influence of the Mediterranean culture," according to the job posting, and a proposed menu included meats, cheese, and vegetable dishes in half- or full-size servings.
It is "not French but along the same lines of quality," Peter Sarmanian of Classic Restaurants previously said.
Devin Broo (Bar Boulud Boston, The Belfry Inn & Bistro in Sandwich) will serve as executive chef of En Boca. The restaurant will reportedly undergo cosmetic changes ahead of opening.
