Five Guys Expanding Into Allston

The burger chain will take over the former Kelly's Roast Beef location.

five-guys-burgers-fries.0.jpgFive Guys Burgers and Fries could open in Allston as early as November, according to Boston Restaurant Talk. Its planned location, as previously reported, is the old Kelly's Roast Beef spot, which closed in 2011 and had a number of other restaurants vying for the space, including Boloco, Bon Chon, and Tous Les Jours.

The Virginia-based burger chain is moving ahead with this new restaurant, and a spokesperson said the lease for the 1227 Commonwealth Ave. space was signed in July, according to the Boston Business Journal. The space is 1,890 square feet. Five Guys currently has 1,300 locations.

The Allston location is listed as "coming soon" on the Five Guys website, and its hours will be 11 a.m to 10 p.m. daily.
