A local non-profit opened an organic pizza place in the Bolling Building in Roxbury's Dudley Square (2302 Washington St.), according to Boston Restaurant Talk. Dudley Dough, as previously reported, is an economic inclusion initiative by Haley House, a non-profit aimed at helping those most affected by inequality.
The venture aims to use "food and the power of community to break down barriers between people, transfer new skills, and revitalize neighborhoods," according to its website.
The restaurant offers pizza made with self-rising dough — and a gluten-free option — plus salads, soups made from scratch, and craft beer and wine.
Dudley Dough is open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
