A much anticipated project from Barbara Lynch and her niece Kerri Lynch-Delaney has found a home, according to Boston Restaurant Talk. The pair is reportedly moving into the previous Granite Rail Tavern space at 16 Cottage Ave. in Quincy, where they will open C16. (Update: It will be called 16C.)
Lynch previously indicated she was done opening new restaurants, saying: "it's not about me anymore. It's about the next generation. We need more women in this business." With this new venture, Lynch appears to be helping her niece develop the menu for the restaurant, which Lynch-Delaney could ultimately take over and make her own.
Lynch-Delaney is the owner of Babycakes, a bakery in Quincy that makes cupcakes, layer cakes, and other assorted pastries and cookies.
