Cielo Mexican Restaurant is now open at 1209 Washington St. in Braintree, according to an announcement on its Facebook page today. As reported over the summer, the 58-seat space — formerly Viola Restaurante — also has a 16-seat patio. Cielo has a full liquor license, featuring lots of tequila. (The ownership comes from Jalisco, birthplace of tequila, according to an earlier Facebook post.)
The menu includes several types of tacos; burritos and enchiladas; soups and salads; entrees; and more. For lunch, there are dishes like chilaquiles, huevos rancheros, and flautas.
Cielo is open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
