An restaurant license application was submitted for 645 Cambridge St. in East Cambridge, formerly Cafe Dilara. (Over the summer, a restaurant called Gyro King was interested in the space, but apparently that has fallen through.)
Yusuf Ak has applied for the license as a manager of The Medes, Inc., looking for permission to operate from 11 a.m. to 1:30 a.m. seven days a week, serving food and non-alcoholic beverages in the 18-person capacity space.
There are no details yet on possible cuisine for this new restaurant, although the name may refer to an ancient Iranian civilization. Ak will go before the board on October 8.
