A Jamaica Plain restaurant known for its savory pies will start serving coffee along with its new breakfast menu in November.
Aurum Restaurant (377 Centre St.) currently opens at 11 a.m. and offers a selection of breakfast-oriented pies in an egg-and-cheese vein, but according to a Facebook post, it will push its opening hour to 6:30 a.m. Tuesday through Friday, with a "new coffee partnership and breakfast menu."
Aurum first opened in January 2014 with an emphasis on special pies, which are "a tasty hybrid of calzone and pita pocket," according to the menu. In addition to the existing breakfast pies, there are savory lunch and dinner pies, salads, and fruit and vegetable juices, and more.
