Tooba's Cafe on Essex Street in Melrose has shut down, according to Boston Restaurant Talk. A Chowhound user reported seeing a window sign for a new restaurant, which could be Wood & Fire, a pizza place from Pleasantville, New York.
The reason behind Tooba's closure is unknown. Owner Saied Chaharom first opened the cafe, which was named after his grandmother, in 2013. Chef John Woychick concocted the Mediterranean-style wraps, sandwiches, and salads.
