782 Tremont St. is going through another transition. In late 2012, the Wilcox Hospitality Group opened a Southern restaurant called Estelle's in that space, helmed by Brian Poe and Eric Gburski. This past June, Estelle's closed abruptly and quickly reopened as Cluckit (styled CLUCKIT!), another Poe project featuring piri piri chicken (and other dishes slathered in the spicy sauce).
Three months in, Cluckit has suddenly closed as well. Poe and the Wilcox group are switching up the concept again, according to a rep. It'll be more of a casual neighborhood restaurant and bar — something the team has always wanted to do with that space. Poe will continue to be a co-owner in this next project, which doesn't have a name yet. The group isn't announcing an opening timeline yet either, but Poe "looks forward to again contributing to the South End's budding taproom scene," says the rep.
