Providence kicks off its winter Restaurant Weeks this Sunday, January 11, running through January 24. Since Providence will be a balmy 32 degrees Fahrenheit compared to Boston's 30 degrees, it's the perfect time to head south, right?
Unlike the latest multi-tiered incarnation of Boston's Restaurant Week (now called Dine Out Boston), the Providence event simply offers three-course lunches for $14.95 and three-course dinners for either $29.95 or $34.95. (In comparison, Dine Out Boston's lunch prices begin at $15 and go up to $25, while dinners range from $28 to $38.) But some restaurants are actually offering a two-for-the-price-of-one special; see all the details on the official list of 78 participating restaurants.
