All has been quiet on the Strip by Strega front lately. The upcoming addition to the Varano group was originally slated for a fall 2014 opening, but not much has been revealed, aside from some ill-advised promotional signage back in March that quickly disappeared.
But CKI Design Studio recently posted a few construction photos of the in-progress steakhouse, showing that things are moving along. Giant wavy ceiling panels were going up in late December, and a bar and drink rail are almost ready to go.
Located in the former Whiskey Park space in the Park Plaza Hotel, Strip by Strega will have a menu similar to sibling Strega Prime out in Woburn, according to previous reports. Strega Prime offers steaks ranging from a 12-ounce New York sirloin ($26) up to a bone-in 28-ounce Delmonico ($59), along with pastas, a variety of Italian-inspired seafood entrees, and more.
