Franklin Southie served its final meal on New Year's Eve, and now new owner Asia Mei and her team are preparing to open Moonshine 152 in its place in February, as previously reported.

Caught in Southie talks with Mei and reveals a few more hints about the upcoming restaurant; for instance, a couple of her classic dishes will make appearances, including a mushroom tofu burger, her Korean barbecue short rib tacos from her days at Franklin Southie, and a seasonally-changing quinoa salad. "I'll be bumping the quinoa up to a new level though," she tells Caught in Southie, promising the addition of pickled green tea leaves as an "herb component." Also on the docket: smoked fish tacos, grilled pig ears, and more.

There will also be a Ron Swanson-inspired brunch dish (a giant mountain of bacon and eggs, perhaps?), some cocktails created by Mei's favorite bartenders around town, and lots of street food-inspired treats.

As previously reported, Moonshine 152 will offer late-night hours, which will be a major focus, and there'll be a Monday industry brunch as well.
